The MiNi-14 has been developed by Night Optics USA Inc. as an alternative to the U.S. Military issue AN/PVS-14. Its design was driven by the need for a submersible device that is lighter, more versatile and easier to use in situations where standard equipment is adequate. Capable of operating in depths of more than 60 feet, using multi-type (AA or CR123) single battery and incorporating headgear and weapon mount as its standard accessories, MiNi-14 is capable of handling any task set before it. With a 40-degree field-of-view, the MiNi-14 has a 1x standard magnificiation with a detection range of 1,148 feet and recognition range of 984 feet.
